Q: Is First Aid at Work Requalification (FAWR) mandatory?
A: If your workplace first aid needs assessment requires a qualified First Aider, your FAW certificate must remain valid. The FAWR course allows existing First Aid at Work certificate holders to renew their qualification before it expires and remain compliant with workplace first aid requirements.
Q: How long is a FAWR certificate valid?
A: FAWR certificates are valid for 3 years. Annual refresher training is strongly recommended to help maintain confidence and practical skills.
Q: What happens if my FAW certificate has expired?
A: If your FAW certificate has expired, you may need to complete the full 3-day First Aid at Work course instead of the 2-day requalification course. Contact us if you are unsure which option is right for you.
Q: Do you offer blended FAWR training?
A: Yes. Our blended FAWR courses allow learners to complete part of the theory online before attending practical classroom training with an instructor. This flexible approach helps reduce time away from work while maintaining compliance.
Q: Can you train my team on-site?
A: Absolutely. We deliver FAWR training on-site at your workplace for groups of 6–24 staff. Courses can be delivered fully face-to-face or as a blended format (online theory + practical training).
Q: How many people can attend a course?
A: Our open courses in Manchester usually accommodate 6–12 delegates to ensure plenty of hands-on practical learning. On-site courses can be tailored to your team size (6–24 participants, with additional trainers available for larger groups if required).
Q: Can I mix staff from different departments in one course?
A: Yes. Our FAWR courses are suitable for mixed workplace groups, with practical scenarios adapted to different roles and working environments.
Q: Do you provide certificates?
A: Yes. All learners receive a First Aid at Work Requalification certificate valid for 3 years upon successful completion of the course.
