Allergy safety in schools goes beyond knowing how to use an adrenaline auto-injector.
Our school-specific training helps staff understand how allergies can be managed across the whole school, from recognising and responding to anaphylaxis to medication arrangements, individual healthcare plans, reducing allergen exposure, trips and activities, and learning from incidents and near misses.
Practical training gives staff the opportunity to use AAI training devices and work through realistic school-based emergency scenarios.

Our school allergy and anaphylaxis training can be used to support wider staff awareness and practical emergency preparedness.
It does not replace Paediatric First Aid (PFA), Emergency Paediatric First Aid (EPFA) or other first aid training required for particular roles within your setting.

All staff should understand their role in supporting allergy safety and know how to respond in an emergency. Training can also be tailored for particular teams who may have additional responsibilities.
Will staff practise using adrenaline auto-injectors?
Yes. During practical training, staff have the opportunity to practise using AAI training devices and work through realistic school-based emergency scenarios.
Can you train our whole school team?
Yes. Training can be arranged for individual teams or as part of a wider whole-school awareness programme. Contact us with your staff numbers and we can discuss the most suitable option.
Does the training cover spare AAIs?
Yes. School training includes awareness around medication arrangements, prescribed and spare AAIs, and emergency response procedures.
Do you offer online allergy training for schools?
Yes. Our online Allergy & Anaphylaxis Awareness training includes dedicated school-specific content covering the wider management of allergies within an education setting.
