Q: Is First Aid Training (PFA) mandatory?

A: Yes. Paediatric First Aid training is a legal requirement for many early years and childcare settings under the EYFS statutory framework.
Even where it is not legally required, Paediatric First Aid is strongly recommended for anyone responsible for infants and children, including school staff, childminders, activity leaders and sports coaches.

Q: How long is a PFA certificate valid?

A: PFA certificates are valid for 3 years. Annual refresher training is strongly recommended.

Q: Can I upgrade from EFAW to FAW?

A: Yes. If you have previously completed EFAW, you can undertake the full FAW course to gain a higher-level qualification by completing the E-Learning or by booking additional training dates.

Q: Do you offer blended PFA training?

A: Yes. Our blended PFA courses allow you to complete the theory online at your convenience, followed by a one-day practical session with an instructor. This flexible approach helps reduce time away from work while ensuring full compliance.

Q: Can you train my team on-site?

A: Absolutely. We deliver training on-site at your workplace for groups of 6–24 staff. On-site courses can be delivered fully face-to-face or as a blended format (online theory + practical day)

Q: How many people can attend a course?
A: Our open courses in Manchester usually accommodate 6–12 delegates for optimal hands-on experience. On-site courses can be tailored to your team size (6–24 participants, 2 trainers may be required for larger groups).

Q: Can I mix staff from different departments in one course?

A:
Yes. Our courses are designed for mixed groups, with practical scenarios suitable for all types of workplace staff.

Q: Do you provide certificates?
A:
Yes. All participants receive an Ofsted-compliant certificate valid for 3 years upon successful completion of the course.
